Our Heavy Duty Mechanics Service Body provides a maximum of efficiency, convenience and durability for those who demand first-class on-site service vehicles. Each service body fits a range of trucks, from dual-wheel one ton and up. And each is equipped with a wide range of standard and optional features, fabricated with superior materials and equipment.

Door Hardware

Quality hardware is built to last with minimal maintenance. Doors include a 3-point stainless- steel latch. The recessed, rotating T-handle ensures a tight seal around the frame. Hinges are designed with stainless-steel pins welded to doors and inserted into cast bronze pillow block hinges.

Tool Bin Compartment

This 24"-deep compartment accommodates nearly all large mechanics’ tool chests. It features a tool-box tray with Grant Slides, doubled for a 500 lb rating.

Lower Storage Tool Compartment

Keep your equipment dry and free of condensation and corrosion with optional bin heater system. Heat flows through all compartment bins on driver’s side. Heater controls are conveniently located in the cab.

Horizontal Compartment

Provides optional galvanized bolt bin and tray for handy storage of smaller items.

Horizontal Compartments

Feature a variety of optional galvanized trays, bins and dividers for quick and easy equipment storage. No dividing wall between compartments.

Doors and Door Frames

Body and door perimeter frames are fabricated from 16-gauge galvanized steel. Frames are made from a double 90-degree bend for a continuous gutter frame. Doors are pan-shape fabricated from 12-gauge galvanized steel, and use full weather stripping, stainless steel pins and cast bronze hinges, so they’re maintenance-free and virtually rust-proof. Keeps compartments as dry and weather-proof as possible.

Heavy-Duty Sub-frame and Mounting

We use 3" structural channel cross-members and long-members. Deck is formed of 11-gauge steel checker plate, and can include optional flush-mount “D” ring tie-downs to secure your equipment. Tough durable frame stands up to heavy loads and off-road conditions.

Waste Oil Bin

Contains optional waste-oil recovery and discharge system for a clean, convenient way to load and unload waste oil. Includes a 100-gallon tank and air-operated vacuum diaphragm pump.

Oxy/Acetylene or Compressor Storage Bin

Bin accommodates an optional bin-mounted hydraulic-driven (as shown), or provides handy and secure storage for gas bottles (below). Optional galvanized acetylene bottle holder with chain and load binder keeps bottles safely mounted. Wall mounted “J” hooks provide additional support. A horizontally stored oxygen bottle can be positioned in a tray across the deck with access through the bin.

Sliding Aluminum Roof

These optional roofs with nylon glides easily fold into place and lock over the rear section of the body. The floor can include an optional pry-bar holder, and the roof can include an optional galvanized-pipe roof-mounted tire carrier, or optional telescopic rear light-pole, with 12V receptacle.

Galvanized Rear Bumper

For a stronger body frame, the one-piece bumper is bolted onto the main structure and welded to the truck chassis mainframe. Bumper is 11-gauge formed checker plate with hot-dip electroplate galvanizing to resist scratches and rust. Accepts trailer hitch and frame-mounted tow hooks. Options include vise mount and galvanized tailgate.

Service Crane

Service Bodies can be equipped with optional hydraulic or manual crane systems. We offer a range of telescopic, remote-controlled models, from 2000 to 8000 lb capacity. These reliable, proven cranes offer manual and hydraulic outriggers and remote-control pentand with a full range of easy-to-use controls.

Compressor

We offer air- and water-cooled underhood engine driven compressors with capacities from 12 to 28 CFM and convenient in-cab controls. For more demanding requirements we offer hydraulic- driven compressors (as shown) from 30 CFM to 60 CFM. All kits include a 35-gallon roof- mounted air receiver.
